Explore our frequently asked questions below to learn more about how we can help you create a healthier, more inviting workspace.

How do you select and source plants for our office needs?

Our plant selection process is tailored to each client’s unique office environment. The best approach is to visit the site, where we can assess light levels, available space, and the overall décor. This allows us to recommend plants that will thrive in the specific conditions of your office, ensuring they complement the existing décor.

Often, when clients buy plants online, they might not realise the full size, growth pattern, or specific needs of the plant—especially in terms of light. While using a light meter isn’t necessary, understanding how light levels fluctuate throughout the day is crucial for plant health. Our experience helps us make these assessments accurately.

Choosing the right planters is just as important as selecting the plants themselves. Planters should be proportionate to the plant size, fit the available space, and enhance the office décor. With access to over 22,000 types of planters, we provide expert advice on what will look best in your space.

How do you handle plant installation?

We deliver the plants as finished units, ensuring that there’s no mess or disruption at the site. Typically, it takes two people to transport and set up the plants, and the process is generally quick and unobtrusive.

For more complex installations, such as living walls, the setup might take longer and could require out-of-office hours to complete. We always perform a risk assessment before starting any work to ensure safety and efficiency.

How do you handle plant maintenance and care?

We provide a scheduled maintenance service tailored to each site, client, and plant type. This routine service, which we call Plant Protective Maintenance (PPM), ensures that plants receive the necessary water and nutrients.

Our job is to address any issues before they become noticeable, keeping the plants healthy and vibrant.

What support do you provide if a plant doesn’t thrive?

If a plant isn’t thriving, our maintenance service includes replacement as part of our standard offering. It’s our responsibility to ensure the plants remain healthy and beautiful.

The only thing we encourage our clients to do, if they wish, is to talk to the plants!

Do you offer any warranties for the plants and planters?

Since the plants are rented and remain our property, warranties are not necessary. We take full responsibility for their care and maintenance.

What should we consider for high-traffic areas?

In high-traffic areas, we avoid placing fast-growing plants to prevent them from becoming obstructive. We ensure that the planters are weighted appropriately to maintain stability.

Additionally, we select plants with an upright growth habit, keeping them compact and within the size of the pot, which helps them withstand the bustling environment.

What are the best plants for low-light office environments?

For low-light conditions, we recommend plants like Aspidistra or Dracaena Janet Craig. These plants do well in north or west-facing offices, and some can even thrive in offices without any natural light.

How do I choose the right plants to complement my office décor?

Plants and planters come in various styles, from hanging plants placed atop cabinets to vertical foliage on walls. Depending on your office’s aesthetic, you might prefer formal-looking plants, like Ficus benjamina, which can be trimmed into specific shapes, or you might opt for more natural, free-form plants. We use our experience to advise on what suits your environment best and why.

Can I incorporate plants into an open-plan office?

Absolutely! Plants can be used creatively in open-plan offices, such as placing planters at the end of table rows or using plants as natural dividers to create informal break-out areas. Many examples of plants in open-space office can be found on our case studies page.

Many open-plan offices also feature pillars, which are ideal for standing plants or hanging planters. Each space is unique, and we can help you find the perfect plant solutions to enhance your office environment.
